Once again, mainstream media in this country is focused on the financial turmoil that the American government finds itself in. On Tuesday, October 1st, 2013 the US government will effectively "shut down" if Congress doesn't pass proposal to raise the debt ceiling. If this shutdown goes into effect then thousands of government workers could lose their jobs.

While certain social programs like food stamps, Medicare, and Medicaid are pledged to be unaffected, what does a government shutdown mean for blacks, Latinos, and Native American Indians? With State unemployment budgets being slashed, public school budgets being sucked dry, and government worker layoffs looming, can our people seriously expect to be protected? How will we fare when there are less jobs, limited government assistance, with rising prices on food clothing and shelter?

Isaiah 31:1 - Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord.

The Most High warned of destruction to those that put their trust and hope in Egypt for. Our people relied on help from Egypt in troubling times because of Egypt's military strength, power, and wealth. Trusting in Egypt stopped us from seeking the Most High and looking to his ways for help in our times of need.

Destruction is coming to the children of Israel that have trusted in America for help. America today is what Egypt was in the past; a vastly wealthy, military superpower, with seemingly endless resources. Well what happens when those resources dry up? What happens when the government decides to cut off welfare? Social Security? And 911 doesn't work? For those of us who have put our trust in America, and not the Most High, that will be a sad, and dark day.

Isaiah 31:3 - Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the Lord shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.

The American government is made of men, they are not the Most High. What good is a government that can't function without money? The Most High's arm is stretched out against America, and the help that we have relied upon is drying up. There is no hope for us trusting in America any longer. The government responsible for helping the people, and the people themselves will fall together.

Isaiah 56:10 - His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.

The leaders of the children of Israel today are blind; they are ignorant to the fact that America is falling. Like a dumb dog that cannot bark, our leaders are asleep in the position of authority, they are weak, and love to do nothing, and can't warn us of the pending crisis.

The so called leaders of Blacks, Hispanics, and Native American Indians are responsible for us not being aware of the dire situation that we as a people are in. While we die in the streets, and suffer through poverty in the ghetto, they live lavishly and enjoy riches. Their heads are so far up the white man's behind that they cannot see the peril that is coming. Like a dog that doesn't bark at an intruder, our so called leaders are too dumb to understand the hell that we are about to be in because of the trust they have in America.

Micah 3:11 - The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the Lord , and say, Is not the Lord among us? none evil can come upon us.

The Christian church, and the Muslim mosque have become big business in America. The religious leadership amongst our people only care about getting paid. Their pay determines what judgments they pass, what they teach, and what outlook they give for the future. Even though they serve money and not the Most High; these wicked leaders lean upon the Most High, and think that no evil will come upon them.

As America continues to fall and be destroyed the mental and spiritual stranglehold that these wicked leaders have on our nation will weaken. The more the white man shows his hatred towards us, the children of Israel will to turn to the Most High. As America falls, the truth will rise as brothers and sisters seek to please and serve the Most High and Christ. In the ISUPK, money is not an issue, neither is security, order, or structure. Through brotherhood and righteousness as taught by Christ, we band together and ensure that no brother or sister goes hungry, homeless or unclothed.

The ISUPK under Commanding General Yahanna is the refuge for all Israelites seeking to escape hell in these last days. As Christ and his earliest disciples did, the priests and prophets of the Most High and Christ today not only teach Israelites the truth of their identity, but also ensure that everyone in the body of Christ is cared for. Spiritually and mentally through our classes and counseling program; physically through the support system for men in the work of the Most High and families in the truth.

In the ISUPK, the US government shutdown isn't a concern. Since the 60's we've prophesied and prepared for the fall of America. We put our trust in the Most High and our faith is in Christ. Fury over 'Ghetto Tracker' website that identifies poor neighborhoods so that rich people can avoid them

A website called Ghetto Tracker that rates city neighborhoods so users know which areas to avoid has launched and its name alone has already caused a PR nightmare.

The startup wasn’t trying to be funny when it introduced its beta site on Tuesday, but just a day after Hacker News caught wind of it they unceremoniously changed the site’s name.

Though its creators have rechristened Ghetto Tracker as Good Part of Town with a new website, even that's now been taken down amidst accusations of classism, racism, and insensitivity.

Racist? Ghetto Tracker allowed users to rate an area's safety. Using those ratings, the site would dub the poorly rated neighborhoods 'GHETTO' in bold red

‘If your goal was to inspire 100 "what's wrong with tech" articles, you named this perfectly,’ wrote prescient Hacker News contributor bendoernberg. ‘I would highly recommend changing the name and addressing the problematic aspects of red-lining neighborhoods before you get absolutely hammered by a million bloggers.’

When a user looks up a neighborhood, a red warning of ‘Ghetto’ pops up in areas that have been unfavorably rated by ‘locals and people familiar with the area,’ according to the site’s now-removed ‘About’ page.

This has led many to accuse the site of being not just classist and uncouth, but also racist.

‘They should simply geotag by ethnicity and save people the need to subjectively "rate" certain areas,’ wrote Hacker News boards2x.

Writer David Holmes at PandoDaily agreed.

‘It’s pretty detrimental to society when we reinforce the idea that poor or crime-heavy areas are places to be categorically avoided or shamed,’ wrote Holmes in a piece titled GhettoTracker Is The Worst Site on the Internet.

Holmes asked Ghetto Tracker is the whole thing was a joke.

‘This was originally seriously developed as a travel tool and the name "Ghetto Tracker" was meant to be something that people would remember,’ replied an unnamed person at the website. ‘Well, it worked, but unfortunately, it appears to have brought a lot of negative baggage along with it.’

The source at the website formerly known as Ghetto Tracker, who refuses to be named, said the site was supposed to be ‘both a satire and functional at the same.’

Florida's Tallahassee Web Design and its owner Casey Smith have been identified in a Gawker post as the programmers behind the site, but Smith maintains he was merely hired to build the site.

However, the backlash proves most people took it seriously.

By Wednesday, just one day after word of the app first spread, Ghetto Tracker was redubbed Good Part of Town.

A stock photo of a white family was replaced by a black family. That site was also quickly shuttered.

The site read ‘Coming soon,’ and beside the title was a YoutTube video of a clip from National Lampoon’s Vacation wherein a white family is terrified as they drive through a crime-riddled neighborhood.

Now, the site is all but empty. ‘Need advice on an area,’ it asks atop a list of unused discussion threads. ‘Ask a local!’

In a possible first and under heavy security, KKK and NAACP meet in Casper Klan - NAACP Meeting

They didn’t think he would come.

He was a Ku Klux Klan organizer, after all, and they were local leaders of the NAACP, historic enemies. They spent months negotiating the terms of his visit to Casper. There were ground rules, topics to be discussed and guarantees of a security team.

They wait in a small, low-ceiling conference room in the Parkway Plaza hotel. Four NAACP leaders. Ten mints, striped red and white, sit clustered on the table. The pitchers of ice water on the table drip sweat.

“Showtime,” a security man says. He’s here.

A security check, swipes with a metal-detecting wand, and he steps into the room.

Here is John Abarr, an organizer for the United Klans of America, carrying a brown briefcase, shaking hands, settling into a high-backed swivel chair, leaning in, ready to talk. This could be the first time representatives of the two groups purposely met in peace.

Jimmy Simmons, the president of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People’s branch in Casper, didn’t expect to get a return letter from the KKK.

For months he had been hearing reports that black men in Gillette were being beaten up. Invariably the men were with white women when assaulted. Then Klan literature showed up around town. Simmons considered rallying against the Klan, but then decided to try something different: talking.

“If you want to talk about hate, get a hater,” Simmons said later. “Let him tell you something about hate.”

He looked up some contact information and in June, asked for a meeting with the KKK.

Simmons wouldn’t get specific, but it seems the NAACP headquarters wasn’t pleased he planned to talk to the Klan. He eventually got the go-ahead, provided the meeting took place in Casper, Simmons’ turf. A moderator from Colorado planned to come, but then she broke off contact.

The Casper NAACP would meet with the Klan alone, in the person of John Abarr, on Saturday evening.

Now here was Abarr, not dressed in his Klan regalia – the white hood and robe, the history of hateful violence – but in a dark suit, white shirt and a nondescript tie, his hand extended toward Simmons.

“Hello, John.”

“Hello Jimmy.”

Abarr makes a point of proving he’s a member of anti-racism groups. Membership: American Civil Liberties Union, the hate-group watchdog Southern Poverty Law Center, and oh, yes — also the United Klans of America, an organization with a website image gallery that includes a target with an Obama campaign symbol bull’s-eye.

Then there’s the desire to secede from the United States of America. The northwest U.S. — Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon — should secede and form a territory. Blacks can stay there, he supposes, but no more should be allowed in, to keep the region white. States such as Georgia, which are primarily black, should secede from the union and become a black state.

A question from the NAACP: How do you plan to secede from the union?

“Legally, hopefully,” Abarr says.

The meeting was to be a give-and-take on race relations, but the NAACP leaders asked most of the questions.

A certain amount of segregation is a good thing, he says. White police should stay in white neighborhoods and black officers in black neighborhoods. Color-blindness doesn’t even make sense. Interracial marriage? No. It’s better if the races are kept separate. Completely opposed.

“Because we want white babies,” he says.

The line hangs in the air. Next question.

Beatings of black men in Gillette? Those are hate crimes, Abarr agrees. Something must be done. Talk to the police. His tone is clear: Who would think of doing such a thing? Just terrible.

There are a lot of Klan groups. The movement is fractured, with groups splintering on goals and methods. Yes, the Klan may be distributing flyers in the area, but that’s not illegal, he points out.

He describes how his Klansmen in Montana distribute literature: The paper goes in a baggie weighted with a rock, and is thrown onto people’s driveways.

His group’s flyers let people know the Klan is serving as a neighborhood watch, to let folks know they’re safe in their beds.

“I like it because you wear robes, and get out and light crosses, and have secret handshakes,” he says. “I like being in the Klan — I sort of like it that people think I’m some sort of outlaw.”

His laugh rattles like a slow roll over a highway rumble strip.

Hate-driven violence may still occur, but those perpetrators are hoodlums, he says. There’s no proof that’s Klan violence, Abarr says. There was certainly violence in the past, but even with the splintered KKK, there’s no proof the Klan is violent any more.

“You’re really confusing me, because I don’t think you understand the seriousness of your group,” says the NAACP’s Mel Hamilton.

The disbelief in the room is palpable.

“I think what Mel is saying, is that based on your history, based on the Klan’s history, it’s hard to shed the skin of your group not being violent, not being killers, murderers, terrorizers,” Simmons says. “It’s hard to imagine that.”

During the Reconstruction, those things did go on, Abarr says. The Reconstruction Era covered the period between the mid-1860s and mid-1870s. But what about the wave of Klan lynchings in the 1920s to 1940s, for example? Well, Abarr doesn’t know much about that.

“I just know what it is today,” he says. “I had relatives in the Klan in the ’20s and they didn’t lynch anybody.”

Hamilton shoots back: “As far as you know.”

His relatives quit the Klan because someone wanted them to kill somebody, Abarr says.

The Klan is a secret society, and Abarr won’t discuss how it’s evolved or what it does. It’s a canned answer. Abarr reads it in a rush, from a piece of paper.

Not good enough.

“You tell us what you want, and you maintain the secrecy of injustice,” Hamilton says. “But you’re here, we’re trying to do something good, and you are half-stepping on us. You’re not serious about this, I don’t think.”

After he’s pressed, Abarr says he holds the Klan rank of kleagle, an organizer, in Great Falls, Mont. He says he’s seen a rush of recruits due to the presidency of Barack Obama — mostly men in their 20s and 30s, angry, violent and ready for action.

“What I like to do is recruit really radical kids, then calm them down after they join,” he says. Sometimes recruits will decide Abarr’s Klan isn’t hateful enough and go somewhere else.

As long as recruits look white and think white, that’s good enough for Abarr, even though some potential recruits have “confessed” to him they’re quarter Mexican.

He’d like to recruit cops, due to their training and so they could check someone’s identification for him, but he admits he hasn’t had any success. He doesn’t believe there’s any Klan group active in Casper, or none that he’s heard of.

What does he do to get recruits? Hamilton asks. Some kind of slogan? There’s got to be some sort of brainwashing taking place.

“Well, we usually just meet at a restaurant.”

Abarr was born in Sheridan, graduated high school in Torrington, and lived several other places in Wyoming. “It was just me and two skinheads,” he says of his time as a white supremacist in Casper. He had family in the Klan, and was something of a revolutionary himself when he joined at age 18, and wanted to overthrow the government, he says. His father was a cowboy.

He married a liberal woman, he says, and his kids were raised as liberals. They can choose their own path.

He believes homosexuality is largely genetic, but still a sin. Gay marriage is fine. Polygamy should be legal also. Marriage isn’t the government’s business.

The NAACP leaders laugh lightly — partly surprise, partly dark amusement. But it’s not really funny.

Abarr lost a Republican primary for a local race in 2002, and considered a run for Congress from Montana in 2011, but dropped out when a lack of funding and a lot of outrage pushed him to reconsider his plans. Then, he billed himself as an ex-KKK member.

“There you go again. You’re a chameleon, whatever suits you at the time,” Hamilton says.

“Well, I was between Klans at the time,” Abarr says.

The United Klans of America imperial wizard, Bradley Jenkins, was excited Abarr was meeting with the NAACP and had to overrule some on his imperial council who were opposed.

“He lives in Alabama, and he told me he would love to sit down with the NAACP in Alabama and talk,” Abarr says.

We believe in treating everyone equally, like the Klan would want others to treat its members, Abarr says. In March, Jenkins worked to stop a massive KKK rally in Memphis, decried hate and called those participating in the rally fake Klan groups.

 This from the head of a Klan group infamous for the horrific violence and death it rained down on blacks and supporters in prior decades, including the bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Ala., in 1963, killing four young girls.

A few days after the news broke about Jenkins working to stop the KKK rally, Abarr defended his leader’s actions via Twitter via his account @Thehoodedone33. Yet with bad grammar, and using a slur the Star-Tribune is masking, he also tweets: “There are way to many N-----s in Montana especially here in Great Falls. Also there are a lot of Indians.”

Says he won’t have a group when he gets back, could face excommunication.

“People are going to call me names for coming down here,” he said. “You know, I might not even have a group when I get back.”

The meeting’s winding down, and Hamilton’s not buying Abarr’s presentation of his Klan as a non-violent Christian group focused on political issues. He’s not buying that Abarr’s Klan is a kindlier, friendlier KKK, and his disbelief slams into the air like a pounding gavel.

“It’s obvious you don’t know the history of your organization,” he says. “It’s obvious to me that you’re not going out and talking about the good — you’re not talking about inclusion, you’re talking about exclusion. And it’s obvious to me you don’t know what you are.

“So I don’t know what good this dialogue has done tonight.”

It certainly hasn’t resulted in the white supremacist believing his secession idea doesn’t hold merit. Or weakening his position in interracial relationships. Or ignorance of decades of Klan terror.

“It’s obvious we don’t agree on everything,” Abarr says.

Hamilton is disappointed: “I’d love to shake your hand tonight and truly believe that you have good will towards all people, and I can’t seem to come to that point.”

It seemed like a stunt. Will the Klansman join the NAACP? A white supremacist, a known enemy?

Simmons asks: Would you like to join?

Abarr doesn’t hesitate: “I wouldn’t have a problem with joining the NAACP.”

“Wow,” Simmons says, pulling out an application. Abarr fills it out, checks his watch for the date. Adds a $20 donation to the $30 membership fee. Simmons gives him a receipt.

They stand.

“We’ll have to do this again sometime,” Abarr says. “Or maybe not. I don’t know. We’ll have to keep in contact for sure, though.”

He snaps his briefcase shut, pumps hands with Simmons to the snap of a camera.

Whisked away by security, he strides down the long motel hall.

Rangel: Bring Back the Draft Before Launching Air Strikes in Syria

Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-N.Y.) on Sunday renewed his call to reinstate the draft, arguing a vote should be held on mandatory military service before any decision is taken to launch strikes against Syria. 

“I truly believe we should have a National Draft Act before the Congress acts,” Rangel told MSNBC.

Rangel, a decorated veteran of the Korean War, has for several years introduced legislation to bring back the draft and earlier this, for the first time, advocated that women should be included. 

The New York lawmaker said the burden of war unfairly falls on lower-income Americans. 

“They are not in the Hamptons. They are not in the wealthy neighborhoods,” he said. 

Rangel, a former chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee and the third-longest-serving member of Congress, has made it clear he will vote “no” on a forthcoming resolution seeking congressional approval for limited strikes on Syria. 

Although Rangel said he is satisfied that Syrian President Bashar Assad is responsible for poison gas attacks on his own people last month, he argued it is not the U.S.’s responsibility to respond on behalf of the world. 

“There is no mandate that the United States of America has to get rid of every evil person,” Rangel said. 

“If it’s an international problem it should be an international solution.”

Rangel said he would not attend a Sunday afternoon “members-only” briefing for lawmakers on Capitol Hill about the proposed Syrian military strike because he could not justify the use of force to his constituents. 

“If I have the slightest idea how this gross violation of international law affects citizens of the United States of America, my ears are open to see the connection,” he said. 

President Obama surprised many in Congress on Saturday by announcing he would seek congressional approval before launching military strikes he argues are necessary to hold Assad accountable for the use of chemical weapons. 

In a letter to Obama last week, 53 liberal Democrats — including many members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) argued that Assad’s actions "should not draw us into an unwise war” without first having Congress authorize the action. 

On Sunday, liberal Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) argued there is no justification for U.S. involvement — especially since the country lacks allies for its proposed strikes. 

“How is it that this is always our responsibility?” Grayson said on MSNBC. 

The proper course of action is not to bomb Syria, but to take Assad to the international war crimes court in The Hague. 

“What would change my mind is someone explaining to me what the heck this has to do with us,” he said.

"They didn't say what was going on, they just said, 'Run!'

This is the quote on the cover page of a Washington DC, express newspaper. The morning after a Navy Veteran wreaked havoc in SE DC, killing 12 people in the Navy Yard section of the city. The shooter has been identified as 34 year old Aaron Alexis. Less than a week after the 12 year anniversary of 9-11, Americans find themselves in the aftermath of yet another mass shooting.

Job 18:11 - Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet.

Terrorism was prophesied to come upon America from the Most High. Terrorism has made the inhabitants of America, and those that trust in the lies and protection of this land, afraid on every side. This man's rampage drove the people working at the Navy Yard to flee on their feet.

From September 11th, 2001 up to today, these types of events have become more and more frequent. In the past 16 months, America has had its hand full with mass shooting incidents. Last July a man killed 12 people in a Colorado movie theater, then in December of 2012, 26 people we killed in the Sandy Hook school shooting; next was the bombing in Boston where lives and limbs were lost, and now this shooting in DC. These events are the prophecies of the Bible coming to pass, and they will only get worse.

Isaiah 47:11 - Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know.

No one can know or say when an attack such as this will happen. It cannot be predicted, controlled, or stopped and there are no solutions to this problem. The Most High has warned that destruction shall come suddenly and it won't be understood.

The question always on everyone's mind when one of these types of events occur is why? What made this man, or the guy in Colorado, or the bombers in Boston snap? What caused them to turn to such violence and evil? Time and time again these questions go unanswered because the earth refuses to recognize that it is the Most who is causing this evil to rise up in America.

Proverbs 1:26 - I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
28 - Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:

The Most High laughs when terrorist attack, and he mocks when fear comes to the wicked. When these things happen, people call on the Most High, but he doesn't answer them, in those moments before destruction they search for the Most High, but they cannot find him.

Even those who claim to be atheist call out for God when disaster strikes. Whether it be a natural disaster such as a tornado or flooding, or a terrorist attack; in times of violent uncertainty, people look to the power of the Most High for deliverance. For those lives lost in 9-11, Columbine, Sandy Hook, the Boston Marathon, and now the Navy Yard, the help they looked for from the Most High never came. There is no help, or deliverance for the wicked and unrighteous in times of destruction.

When you hear an alarm sounding off, to warn, or alert the people that danger is coming, the people will be afraid. When evil happens in a city, the Most High has done it.
Since 1969 the men of the ISUPK have prophesied the coming of random violence and terrorism to the streets of America. Regardless of what you choose to believe our trust in, the truth of the Most High cannot be denied. The Most High brought down the World Trade Center Towers, killed those children in Sandy Hook, blew up the Boston Marathon, flooded Colorado, and put 12 people to death on the Navy Yard.

This is just one of the ways in which the Most High will destabilize and weaken America, before it is completely destroyed with the second coming of a black man named Jesus Christ. These attacks, while random to us, are all apart of the Most High destroying America. These events have, and will continue to be more violent, frequent, and unpredictable.

46-Year-Old White Man Shoots 8-Year-Old Black Boy In The Face -

Dallas Police have arrested a 46-year-old Dallas man in the shooting of an 8-year-old boy Tuesday night at an apartment complex.

Donald “D.J” Maiden, Jr. is in critical but stable condition at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas.

According to reports, D.J. was outside playing in the parking lot at the La Bella Palms Apartments just before dark. He took a gunshot full in the face; but managed to run for help.

Neighbor John Fuller was astounded at that. “He was holding, all his jaw was just hanging, like, and all his little friends was over there crying and stuff.”

Fuller and his friends were dumbstruck when the third-grader ran past them, rushing home to his mother.

“I heard a loud bang. And then five seconds later a little kid, little DJ, he ran around the corner holding his jaw with a mouthful of blood,” said Justin Yancey, who dialed 911.

The gunman has been identified and reportedly even admitted shooting the child when asked by police, young Donald’s family is still baffled as to why something like this happened.

Police identify the gunman as 46-year-old Brian Cloninger of Dallas.

He apparently doesn’t live at the apartment complex but Fuller saw his truck parked there early in the afternoon.

Cloninger was arrested for injury to a child and is being held on a $2.2-million bond.

None of this answers the family’s question of “why?” said Sharon Locklin is D.J.’s grandmother. “I just don’t know why this would happen. I’ve never experienced anything like this. And I don’t understand why someone would target an innocent child like this,” she said.

She went on to describe her grandson’s injuries. “He lost from here to here on his face; and they’ve got his mouth wired shut, and he has metal plates and he has lots of reconstructive surgery. But by the grace of God he’s going to be okay.”

CBS 11 News spoke to a woman who identified herself as Brian Cloninger’s wife. She says she has no idea what happened as has no details. But she says the real tragedy is that a little boy was hurt.

According to the family, 8-year-old Donald is said to still be in critical but stable condition with his jaw wired shut after previously being placed in a medically-induced coma.

Black Man Found Hanging from a Tree in Jersey City, New Jersey

A disturbing report is being circulated among various news outlets that a Black man was found hanging from a tree in a Jersey City, New Jersey park.

The lifeless body of the unidentified man, who appeared to be in his 60’s, was found in Lafayette Park on the morning of August 6, 2013.  NJ.com reports that a woman “who was walking on Manning Avenue near Lafayette Street just outside the park,” saw the man and immediately reported the incident to police officials.

Gene Rubino, who is the spokesman for the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, said that the man was taken to Jersey City Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.  He also told NJ.com “that foul play is not suspected and that there were no visible signs of trauma or assault.”

A woman who identifies herself as Nurse Tonya tells a different story.  In the comment section posted on NJ.com, she writes, “I was there alone, in my truck, taking my two toddlers to the park to meet their daycare, and then on my way to work. I take the cobble stone road as a short cut and as I looked beyond the trees to see where the class was, I was curious why the park was COMPLETELY empty. I lowered my eyes as I was slowing down to see a man “Kneeling” yet hung from a tree.”

She then wrote that she called 911 but never got out of her car as she had her two children.  She also wrote that what she saw didn’t appear to be suicide because his hands were tied behind his back.  She wrote, “I saw the truth!  I have two baby boys and am DEVASTATED that I have had to explain to toddlers why they saw a man hanging from a tree. Get the 911 tape and set the truth straight! I am mortified, insulted, and saddened but I will not be silent no [sic] that I feel there is inaccuracy.”

We tried reaching out to the Jersey City police media department, but our calls went unanswered.

For now, Lafayette Park remains closed as Police investigate this heinous incident.

Around 200,000 Americans are needlessly dying every year from preventable heart disease and strokes, with black people twice as likely to fall victim as whites, a shocking study has found.

Heart disease is currently the biggest killer in the U.S., accounting for nearly 800,000 deaths a year - about 30 per cent of all U.S. deaths.

But one in four would have been avoided had the victim received screening and treatment for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity and smoking, according to a report by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The report looked at preventable deaths from heart disease and stroke defined as those that occurred in people under age 75 that could have been prevented by more effective public health measures, lifestyle changes or medical care.

While the CDC has long tracked deaths from heart disease, it never previously issued a report estimating how many such deaths could be prevented.

And the research revealed worrying discrepancies along lines of gender and race with the 2010 rate of avoidable deaths in black men about 80 percent higher than that of white men and black women.

In 2010, the states with the highest avoidable death rates were located primarily in the South, including Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Louisiana, the report stated. 

The states with the lowest rates were Minnesota, Utah, Colorado, Connecticut and New Hampshire, according to the report.

CDC officials said that the 2014 launch of key elements of the U.S. healthcare law signed by President Barack Obama in 2010 could help reduce avoidable deaths. 

The law is intended to provide better access to treatment for millions of uninsured Americans and routine coverage for preventive screenings.

'Beginning in October, the health insurance marketplaces will provide a new way for people to get health insurance so more patients have access to quality health insurance and coverage beginning as early as January 2014,' CDC Director Dr. Tom Frieden told a conference call with reporters.

The new health insurance exchanges are expected to provide coverage for up to 7 million uninsured Americans next year, according to government estimates. 

The law faces ongoing opposition among Republicans in Congress who say it imposes a financial burden on consumers and state governments.

The rate of preventable deaths from heart disease and stroke - those that could have been avoided by treating high blood pressure and cholesterol and by discouraging smoking - fell nearly 30 percent between 2001 and 2010, the report said.

There were widespread differences in rates by age, geographical region, race and gender, Frieden said.

'While those who are age 65 to 74 still have the greatest rate of heart attack and stroke, more than half of the preventable deaths - about six in 10 - happen in people under the age of 65,' Frieden said.

Frieden said preventable deaths declined much more quickly in people aged 65 to 74, which 'may well be because they have access to health insurance through their Medicare coverage,' the U.S. health insurance program for the elderly and disabled.

Men were more than twice as likely as women to die from heart disease and strokes that could have been prevented by treating high blood pressure and cholesterol and through smoking-prevention efforts, the report said. 

The rate of such deaths for U.S. men in 2010 was 83.7 per 100,000 in 2010 compared with 39.6 per 100,000 for women, the CDC said.
