The Revolution WILL NOT be Televised, Only the Casualties: Part 1

Shalam, We are the original Israelite School of Universal Practical Knowledge, out of 1 West 125th St. Harlem, NYC, since 1969. The HOME OF THE TRUTH! In the Spirit of the Most High, in the name of Christ under Commanding General Yahanna, we have dedicated and hazarded our lives to bringing the 12 Tribes of the nation of Israel back to the Father in spirit and truth. The people of Negro, and Native American descent, scattered throughout North, South, Central America and the West Indian Islands are the Lost 12 Tribes of Israel. Wherever we are; in the ghettos, the barrios, the reservations or shanty towns; on the web, and in our everyday lives we strive to wake up our people.

In the wake of what has transpired in Baltimore this past week, the so called African-American community in the USA now stands at a crossroads. What follows is a 3-part treatise that will briefly examine the role that integration has played in the current condition of blacks in America, and what the next step for us as a collective unit should be. Where we decide to go from here will have generational lasting effects, as equally potent as the decisions made 3 generations ago have had on us today. Do we continue down the path laid before us over 60 years ago by the Civil rights movement? Or have we reached a point where we can objectively agree that joining ourselves wholeheartedly to the American dream of freedom and equality was an epic failure for the majority of our people, and that a march back towards segregation is our only recourse of action.

Part 1: The Decision to Integrate

The Civil rights movement was established on the belief that if blacks boycotted, and protested peacefully, that we could achieve our desired goal of attaining equal pay for working the same jobs as whites, as well as securing more job opportunities for blacks in white dominated areas like the South.

It was at the March For Jobs and Freedom on Washington, where the great sellout Martin Luther King Jr hijacked the movement and made it about desegregation & joining the black community to white society. Was his dream of little black boys holding hands with little white girls, and living side by side with white people realized? Yes for some of us, but for the majority of the black community, MLK's dream is the nightmare that we're living in today.

Lamentations 4:17 - As for us, our eyes as yet failed for our vain help: in our watching we have watched for a nation that could not save us.

Harry Belafonte has spoken candidly about his last conversation with MLK before he was assassinated. He has acknowledged that MLK realized that integrating blacks into white society was a mistake:

"He seemed quite agitated and preoccupied, and I asked him what the problem was. "I've come upon something that disturbs me deeply," he said. "We have fought hard and long for integration, as I believe we should have, and I know that we will win. But I've come to believe we're integrating into a burning house."
That statement took me aback. It was the last thing I would have expected to hear, considering the nature of our struggle, and I asked him what he meant. "I'm afraid that America may be losing what moral vision she may have had," he answered.

"And I'm afraid that even as we integrate, we are walking into a place that does not understand that this nation needs to be deeply concerned with the plight of the poor and disenfranchised. Until we commit ourselves to ensuring that the underclass is given justice and opportunity, we will continue to perpetuate the anger and violence that tears at the soul of this nation." The condition and circumstance that blacks find themselves in today, is precisely that of the Israelites as spelled out in Lamentations 4:17. Our eyes have grown weary and weak, watching in vain for help to come from a nation that cannot save us. White America is incapable of empathizing with the plight and suffering of blacks in America. Largely because this country was established on the dehumanization of black, Hispanic, and Native Indian people, particularly the males.

Even today, as black men are being murdered in the street by police, the white owned and operated media cannot recognize or acknowledge that a heinous crime has been committed; without first bringing up circumstantial information to criminalize these victims of fatal police brutality. What does Freddie Grays criminal record have to do with the police breaking his neck in 3 places, then lying about it, and withholding the autopsy report? What did Michael Brown's priors have to do with Darren Wilson shooting him in the back as he fled, and executing him with a head shot after he turned around and put his hands up in a universally recognized gesture of surrender?

Then there's the "what about black on black crime?" question that is only brought up when a white cop murders an unarmed black man. Let me tell you something about the difference between killing in the ghetto amongst impoverished, uneducated, socially neglected minorities, and police murder.

Black on black crime is a by product of the dehumanization of the black male, which was a primary goal of the slave masters when they first brought us to America. We kill each other today because we look at one another the way we've been programmed to. Just another nigger in the way of getting money, hoes, clothes, and being successful. While this isn't a justification, it is an explanation for the mindset of the genocidal suicide that's occurring among black, Hispanic and native Indians in this country.

Police officers take an oath, and have laws that govern their responsibility to protect and serve, defend the constitution, and ensure every citizen's right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is protected.

All of these recent events in which an unarmed brother has been killed, is murder according to the laws of this country.

When a black man kills a black man and is apprehended, he gets life in prison (see Aaron Hernandez).
Cops are murdering us in the streets, on camera, with hundreds of eyewitnesses, and not even being charged. At least in the 80's they'd go to trial and beat the charge. Nowadays they don't even prosecute these criminals. For this disparity in judgment as it relates to the murder of black men, there can only be one explanation, but we will revisit this point later.

Isaiah 42:22 - But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore.

Again the Bible clearly spells out the current condition of the black community in America. We are a people that for 400 years have been lynched, murdered, enslaved, dehumanized, forced into poverty, criminalized, endured a crack epidemic, abortion, gun violence, emasculation of our men, had homosexuality forced on our impressionable youth (the list could go on). Not yet has there been a white person vow to give their life as repayment for any of these crimes against humanity that they've participated in or benefited from.

Yet and still, all of these societal ills are symptoms of a much larger looming, ominous cloud that hangs over the heads of blacks, Hispanics, and Native Indians today. That cloud is called integration. A few things occurred when the possibility of being accepted as the white man's equal was first conceived in the minds of our people, and their effects are still evident today.

Jeremiah 2:33 - Why trimmest thou thy way to seek love? therefore hast thou also taught the wicked ones thy ways.

First, it was realized that the only way whites could possibly ever recognize you as their equal was to make yourself indistinguishable from them. This thought created a counter culture in the our community that established white as right and black as wrong.
This promoted the image of the clean shaven, soft spoken, quiet, permed haired, non argumentative negro, and cast a shadow on the beards, braids, and afros that we once took pride in. Robbing both black men and women of the pride they once held in the unique, separateness, that our god-given physical features granted us.

Adopting white american culture led to the exploitation of black culture while simultaneously causing blacks to no longer collectively identify with one another. Due to integration; rich, affluent, college educated blacks fled the ghettos and cities where they lived, worked, did business, and patronized one another, for the suburbs where they could escape the stigma of ghetto living to rub elbows with their white counterparts. This paved the way for a criminal culture, established by Italian and Irish immigrants decades earlier, to proliferate in the black community. This is what gave birth to the gang, drug dealing, get rich or die trying mentality that is being called Black culture today.

Deuteronomy 28:43 - The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low.

Integration stole an entire generation of lawyers, doctors, engineers, entrepreneurs, educators, and progressives away from the black community. Leaving behind those unequipped to escape, the black community was left exposed to an influx of Asian, Arab, and African immigrants who took over all the neighborhood businesses in our community. This perpetuated a continual cycle of poverty, joblessness, dependency on government assistance, criminal activity, and incarceration that still persists today.

Ecclesiastes 7:7 - Surely oppression maketh a wise man mad; and a gift destroyeth the heart.

The exploitation of the black woman, and destruction of the black family through the women's liberation movement; incarceration of black men through child support;
genocide of over 13 million black children since 1973 through the eugenics movement aka Planned Parenthood; the regression of sexual morality & glorification of a criminal lifestyle through entertainment; and a lower expectation in quality of life for blacks, Hispanics, and Native American Indians are all by products of integration. Couple this with decades of police brutality, harassment, and the murders of innocent, unarmed men and no one should be shocked by what's happening in Baltimore.

With all the oppression, social and economic depravity that black youth are facing today all across America; a few burned down businesses (that aren't community owned and operated), vandalized properties, and non fatal standoffs with the police; only a small price has been paid considering the suffering we've endured. Anyone who condemns how these youths are expressing their frustration should be ashamed of themselves.

When the early American colonies were fed up with over taxation by the British, they burned an entire shipment of imported tea (Boston Tea Party). Faced with poverty under the French Monarchy during the 18th century, the people took control of an armory, killing the guards and taking control of the government (storming of the Bastille). Those people weren't thugs, savages, and criminals though? History recognizes them as revolutionaries.

In part two of this treatise we will look at the opportunity that the present civil unrest presents for the black community to examine where do we go from here. We've rioted before, and it has gotten us nowhere. We've protested and demanded justice, it's gotten us nowhere. We've integrated and tried to conform to the American way; it's gotten us nowhere. What's next?
