New Study: LGBT Characters On Television On The Rise

NEW YORK (AP) — The number of gay and bisexual characters on scripted broadcast network TV is at its highest-ever level in the season ahead, according to the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. The total on cable television is also going up.

The 17th annual “Where We Are on TV” report, released Friday, found that 4.4 percent of actors appearing regularly on prime-time network drama and comedy series during the 2012-13 season will portray lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender characters. That is up from 2.9 percent in 2011, which saw a dip in what had been a growing annual trend.

The study reviewed 97 scripted TV programs scheduled to air in the upcoming season on the broadcast networks, counting a total of 701 series regular characters. The study found that 31 of them are LGBT characters.

ABC has the highest amount, with 10 out of 194, or 5.2 percent, of their regular characters identified as LGBT.

After leading last year, Fox ranks second with six LGBT characters out of 118 total series regulars, or 5.1 percent.

CBS was saluted as much improved, with four out of 142 LGBT series regulars, or 2.8 percent, up from 0.7 percent last year. Among CBS’s new fall series is “Partners,” a comedy about two childhood friends and business partners, one of whom is gay and in a relationship. The network’s lineup represents “an authentic and conscious effort by CBS to improve its diversity,” the study said.

Regular gay and lesbian characters on what the study termed “mainstream” cable television has also risen this season to 35, up from 29 last season.

Among those networks, Showtime leads with 12 LGBT characters. The study also cited HBO, FX, Adult Swim, ABC Family, MTV, Syfy and TeenNick.

The HBO drama “True Blood” remains cable’s most inclusive series, featuring six LGBT characters.

On broadcast TV, male characters (64 percent) continue to outweigh female characters (36 percent, including the transgender character Unique on “Glee”).

Compared with last year, African-American representation has grown from 9.9 percent to 12 percent, while Hispanic representation has decreased from 5.6 percent to 4.1 percent.

“It is vital for networks to weave complex and diverse story lines of LGBT people in the different programs they air,” said GLAAD President Herndon Graddick. “More and more Americans have come to accept their LGBT family members, friends, co-workers and peers, and as audiences tune into their favorite programs, they expect to see the same diversity of people they encounter in their daily lives.”

Mom Faces Life For Gluing Toddler To Wall, Beating Her Into Coma

Elizabeth Escalona (pictured), who stands accused of gluing her toddler to a wall then beating her into a coma as a potty training punishment, could be facing life in prison, reports The Dallas Morning News.

Prosecutors are seeking to put the 23-year-old mother away for 45 years. If she is convicted of felony injury to a child, she could be imprisoned for the duration of her life.

Escalona reportedly tortured her 2-year-old daughter, Jocelyn Cedillo, who was brought into an emergency room back on September 11 of last year, barely clinging to life.  According to police, Escalona became enraged when the child soiled her pants, so as punishment, she allegedly super-glued Jocelyn’s hands to a wall, then beat her mercilessly in front of her other siblings.  Escalona also reportedly kicked the child in the stomach.

Dr. Amy Barton, who is credited with saving Jocelyn’s life, testified in court as she fought back tears, that the little girl had extensive bruises about her torso, bleeding in her brain and bite marks on her arm and buttocks.  On her hands, she and her team of doctors found Super Glue residue and white paint chips from the wall of Jocelyn’s apartment.  Some of the toddler’s skin had been torn off.

“The child was brought in by a private vehicle with extensive trauma. It looked like the child had been abused and wasn’t sure the child was going to make it. She had bruising on her belly,” Barton addressed the court room.

The physician also showed pictures of the little girl’s injuries during the sentencing hearing.

Jocelyn, who spent time in intensive care in a coma became a ward of the state, along with her four siblings, after she recovered.

The child and her siblings now live with their grandmother, Ofelia Escalona, who testified in court on Tuesday.  The grandmother told the court prosecutor that when Jocelyn was brought into the emergency room after the beating she called her daughter Elizabeth and urged her to come to the hospital. She did not.  When asked if she thought Elizabeth was solely responsible for Jocelyn’s injuries, Ofelina responded, “Yes.”  Ofelina said her daughter is not a monster, pleading with the judge to sentence her to probation and get her help.

Yet there are police reports stating that Elizabeth, who was known to be in a gang during her “troubled” teen years, was once suspected of assaulting and threatening to kill her own mother.

The trial continues with the defense team preparing to call on witnesses.

Father Defends Murdering Infant With Bible Passage That Doesn’t Exist

Benjamin Edetanlen was sentenced Wednesday to 18 years in prison for killing his 5-month-old son in 2004 because of a paraphrased version of Proverbs 13:24: “He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.”

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Edetanlen physically abused the infant, as well as a 2-year-old daughter and a 1-year-old son.

“The defendant stated that he disciplined the children, according to the book of Proverbs in the Bible,” said Assistant District Attorney Dalia Racine in court.

The baby died from blunt force trauma. He also suffered from a broken leg and brain injuries.

Though he faced murder charges, Edetanlen pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and child cruelty. Prosecutors asked the court for an 18 year sentence to be served in full, and the judge agreed.  He has been ordered to stay away from children after he is released. His wife also faces charges because she allegedly did nothing to stop the abuse.

Through it all, Edetanlen’s defense attorney claimed that his client loves his children:

“Mr. Edetanlen firmly believed in the adage, you know, spare the rod and spoil the child,” defense attorney Ingrid McGaughey said.

Though the “adage” is often attributed to the Christian Bible, it is in fact lifted from the 17th-century poem, “Hudibras,” bySamuel Butler. Ironically, Butler has been described as both homosexual and atheist, yet a quote from his work is used by evangelicals around the world who have no idea that it has been misappropriated.

In the poem, Sir Hudibras is in jail and a woman he fancies comes to visit. To prove his love, she slyly suggests that he use a whip:

“If matrimony and hanging go

By dest’ny, why not whipping too?

What med’cine else can cure the fits

Of lovers when they lose their wits?

Love is a boy by poets stil’d;

Then spare the rod and spoil the child.”

Though the widow extolled the “virtuous school of lashing,” it had nothing to do with God’s plan on how to raise children. In fact, the sadomasochistic nature of the request is in direct contrast to any biblical doctrine; yet, this man, and many others, use it to inflict pain on their children every day in this country.

Thankfully, Edetanlen will be behind bars for a very long time, unable to justify evil acts against children with his own ignorance.

Bus Driver Uppercut: Victim Says It Felt Like ‘Mortal Combat’ Punch

Shi’dea Lane , 25, says that bus driver, Artis Hughes, 59, instigated the incident that led to the uppercut watched around the  world and she still can’t believe that he hit her.

Lane says that when she got off work on September 18, she boarded a Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) bus being driven by Hughes. He allegedly thought she didn’t have the bus fare, while she claims that she just needed to find it. From there, words were exchanged and by all appearances, Lane struck Hughes while he was driving the bus.

This lead the older man to stop the bus, tell the belligerent passenger, “You’re going to jail now,” before delivering the vicious blow to Lane’s face, knocking her to the ground. She stood to fight and Hughes grabbed her neck before they were separated by passengers. They exclaimed, “She’s a female!” To which Hughes responded, “I don’t care; she want to be a man, I’m gone treat you like a man!”

Lane said the punch “hurt-ed” like something from the martial arts game “Mortal Combat.”

“It was like a ‘Finish Him!’” she exclaimed before again voicing disbelief that Hughes actually struck a woman.

It’s amazing to see how a man would actually hit a woman that hard; I mean are you serious?” she said. “I mean, you could have pulled me off the bus, you can’t really touch nobody but, for real, like you really punched me?”

RTA says that Hughes has been with the company for 22 years, and they released the following statement:

Upon identifying the driver, he was immediately suspended and moved from duty. His behavior is absolutely unacceptable. RTA apologizes to our customers for this incident.

In a written statement to police, Hughes claimed that Lane “grabbed me in the throat and spit on me in the face,” so he “protected [himself].”

When the Fox News reporter nudged Lane to discuss the obvious, that she attacked the older man first, she stumbled before refusing to answer that question without her lawyer present.

Felix Baumgartner Completes Record-Setting Jump

ROSWELL, N.M. -- In a giant leap from more than 24 miles up, a daredevil skydiver shattered the sound barrier Sunday while making the highest jump ever – a tumbling, death-defying plunge from a balloon to a safe landing in the New Mexico desert.

Felix Baumgartner hit Mach 1.24, or 833.9 mph, according to preliminary data, and became the first man to reach supersonic speed without traveling in a jet or a spacecraft after hopping out of a capsule that had reached an altitude of 128,100 feet above the Earth.

Landing on his feet in the desert, the man known as "Fearless Felix" lifted his arms in victory to the cheers of jubilant onlookers and friends.

"When I was standing there on top of the world, you become so humble, you do not think about breaking records anymore, you do not think about gaining scientific data," he said after the jump. "The only thing you want is to come back alive."

A worldwide audience watched live on the Internet via cameras mounted on his capsule as Baumgartner, wearing a pressurized suit, stood in the doorway of his capsule, gave a thumbs-up and leapt into the stratosphere.

"Sometimes we have to get really high to see how small we are," an exuberant Baumgartner told reporters outside mission control after the jump.

Baumgartner's descent lasted for just over nine minutes, about half of it in a free fall of 119,846 feet, according to Brian Utley, a jump observer from the International Federation of Sports Aviation. He said the speed calculations were preliminary figures.

Baumgartner said traveling faster than sound is "hard to describe because you don't feel it."

With no reference points, "you don't know how fast you travel," he said.

The 43-year-old former Austrian paratrooper with more than 2,500 jumps behind him had taken off early Sunday in a capsule carried by a 55-story ultra-thin helium balloon.

His ascent that was tense at times and included concerns about how well his facial shield was working.

Any contact with the capsule on his exit could have torn his suit, a rip that could expose him to a lack of oxygen and temperatures as low as minus-70 degrees. That could have caused lethal bubbles to form in his bodily fluids.

But none of that happened. He activated his parachute as he neared Earth, gently gliding into the desert east of Roswell and landing without any apparent difficulty. The images triggered another loud cheer from onlookers at mission control, among them his mother, Eva Baumgartner, who was overcome with emotion, crying.

He then was taken by helicopter to meet fellow members of his team, whom he hugged in celebration.

Coincidentally, Baumgartner's feat came on the 65th anniversary of the day that U.S. test pilot Chuck Yeager became the first man to officially break the sound barrier in a jet.

At Baumgartner's insistence, some 30 cameras recorded his stunt Shortly after launch, screens at mission control showed the capsule as it began rising high above the New Mexico desert, with cheers erupting from organizers. Baumgartner could be seen on video, calmly checking instruments inside the capsule.

Baumgartner's team included Joe Kittinger, who first tried to break the sound barrier from 19.5 miles up in 1960, reaching speeds of 614 mph. With Kittinger inside mission control, the two men could be heard going over technical details during the ascension.

"Our guardian angel will take care of you," Kittinger radioed to Baumgartner around the 100,000-foot mark.

An hour into the flight, Baumgartner had ascended more than 63,000 feet and had gone through a trial run of the jump sequence. Ballast was dropped to speed up the ascent.

Kittinger told him, "Everything is in the green. Doing great."

As Baumgartner ascended, so did the number of viewers watching on YouTube. Nearly 7.3 million watched as he sat on the edge of the capsule moments before jumping.

After he landed, his sponsor, Red Bull, posted a picture of Baumgartner on his knees on the ground to Facebook, generating nearly 216,000 likes, 10,000 comments and more than 29,000 shares in less than 40 minutes.

On Twitter, half the worldwide trending topics had something to do with the jump, pushing past seven NFL football games. Among them was this tweet from NASA: "Congratulations to Felix Baumgartner and RedBull Stratos on record-breaking leap from the edge of space!"

This attempt marked the end of a five-year road for Baumgartner, a record-setting high-altitude jumper. He already made two preparation jumps in the area, one from 15 miles high and another from 18 miles high. He has said that this was his final jump.

Baumgartner has said he plans to settle down with his girlfriend and fly helicopters on mountain rescue and firefighting missions in the U.S. and Austria.

     It came out this week in the world news, that North Korea is ready to test it's long range missile capabilities. This comes as the latest in a series of provoking exhibitions of force and defiance against America. North Korea has stated that this latest round of test will be aimed towards the Pacific Ocean, testing whether or not their missiles can reach the American West Coast. America and North Korea have been at odds with each other since the beginning of the Korean war in the 1950's. America has tried everything in its power to keep communist controlled North Korea, a militarily weak, impoverished, third world nation. With North Korea ready to flex its muscle; what will this mean for the future of America and its recent domination of the north Pacific?

Joel 3:9 - Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up:

   
     The Most High said to proclaim this among the Gentiles, to make an announcement to all the heathen nations of the earth; prepare for war, get all your soldiers ready, and let them rise up to fight. The Most High is pouring the spirit of war on these nations, and setting the stage for world wide conflict.

     With all that we see happening over the globe, World War III is fast approaching. From the missile test in North Korea, to the uprisings in the Middle East, Islamic insurgency in Africa, and economic protest in the streets of Europe, all nations are being riled up by the Most High and prepared for war.

Revelation 11:14 - The second woe is past; and , behold, the third woe cometh quickly.

     The word woe in this scripture is talking about destruction, World War to be specific. The second woe/world war is past; look around today and you'll see that the third world war is coming quickly.

     America is no longer the only bully on the block. These other nations have nuclear weapons, tanks, war planes, and soldiers that are ready and willing to die for the pride of their people. The same conditions that gave birth to WWII, are present today and quickly giving rise to WWIII.

Zechariah 14:12 - And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

     In this scripture the word smite means to kill, and the Most High describes the destruction that will come upon the heathens, and the wicked among our nation that have fought against his people Israel.The Most High says their flesh shall fall away while they stand on their feet, their eyes shall melt away while in their holes, and their tongues shall burn away in their mouths. What can do this to a man? Thermonuclear explosion is what the Most High is describing. This is the plague that is coming to the white man in America, and the rest of these heathens that have fought against the children of Israel.

   Nuclear war is coming to America. The so called white man put us in slavery for 400 years, the Arabs had us in slavery for 600 years before that and built the ships which carried us from the West coast of Africa. The Africans rounded us up and sold us to the white man. Our so called leaders have gotten rich by joining us to the religions and philosophies of these heathens, and turning us away from the Most High and Christ.

Isaiah 47:9- But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood:... [10] For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am , and none else beside me. [11] Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know.
   
     The Most High has promised to bring the loss of children and the loss of husbands to America in an instant. The white man has trusted in his technology, so called sciences, and ability to wage war on the earth. The white man believes that he is God, and that there is no power in the universe greater than him. In his pride he doesn't acknowledge the Most High or fear retaliation for his wicked deeds. The Most High is going to bring destruction to this place which will not be stopped, or contained.

     America boasts itself as being the land of the free and the home of the brave. Americans take pride in being the one country on the earth which has never been unsafe our attacked on its soil. America is the only country on earth to use nuclear weapons on another nation. America invades countries for oil, wages war with predator drones, and puts drugs and guns in our communities to destroy us. The Most High is going to do to America, what the white man has done all over the planet. They bombed Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya, America will be bombed. They committed acts of terror against us and in other nations on the earth, terrorist acts will be committed in America. Destruction will come unexpectedly to America and they will not be able to put it off.

Amos 9:8 - Behold, the eyes of the Lord God are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the Lord .


     The Most High said he is watching down from heaven and he sees this evil kingdom called America. The Most High said that he will destroy America off the face of the earth, but he will save and not completely destroy the children of Israel. Salvation is for you Black, Hispanic, Haitian, West, Seminole and Native Indians.
   
     America is the home of all wickedness and sin on the earth today. Regardless of what kind of perverse sexual deviancy your into, you will find acceptance in America. Like having sex with little boys? You can be a Catholic priest, Baptist pastor, or join the North American Man Boy Live Association (N.A.M.B.L.A). Homosexual or transgender-ed?  You can get married in the Christian church. You can even have sex with animals and marry your pets. Homosexuality, drugs, murder, and slavery is what made America great and famous in the earth. The Most High calls it spiritually Sodom, and Egypt in the bible. The Most High is fed up with the evil, and wickedness that is going on here in America, and being promoted throughout the earth.
   
     Now is the time for us to come together, get in this truth, build up real brotherhood, and prepare for the war that is to come. Our fight isn't a physical one, to be fought with guns and missiles but rather it's spiritual, to be fought with the truth, brotherhood, and discipline, against the evils of this kingdom.      It's official, after being sworn in on Monday, January 21, Barack H. Obama begins his 2nd term as President of the United States of America. The scene on the National Mall in Washington D.C. was symbolic of what Barack Obama's presidency means to this country. Representing all races, colors, creeds, classes, genders, beliefs and sexual preferences. Those who showed up, came to witness their president make history for the second time. For those that are in the world, Barack Obama's Inauguration represents a triumph in freedom, democracy, cultural diversity, and acceptance for all peoples of the earth. For those who fear the Most High and keep his word, Barack Obama is the proof that we are in the last days, Christ is on his way and America, aka Babylon The Great, is falling.

Deuteronomy 17:15 - Thou shalt in any wise set him king over thee, whom the Lord thy God shall choose: one from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee: thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother.
   
     The Most High gave Israel a law, not to choose or vote someone of another nation to be ruler over us. The Most High told Blacks, Hispanics, West and Native Indians, that he would choose our King for us. The man who the LORD has chosen to be king over us is a black man named Yahawashi Ha Mashayach, Jesus Christ in the Hebrew.

     Who told us that we were supposed to vote for Barack Obama? Who told you that it was your God given right? Believing in the white mans system and following behind our wicked leaders is what has us so destroyed today. Rather than study the Most Highs word, and follow the customs and culture he gave us, we follow behind our so called leaders, which cause us to sin against the Most High and put our trust in vain things, like voting for Barack Obama. Yahawashi is an Israelite, who feared the Most High, kept his laws, healed the sick, raised the dead, taught our people righteousness, and having lived perfectly, died for the sins of our nation. Barack Obama is a heathen, his father was an African from Kenya, and he's never done a damn thing for our people. Everything he stands for is against the Most Highs laws, and everything Christ commanded us not to be. If you voted for Barack Obama, you sinned against The Most High and committed treason against our true king Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 5:20 - Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
   
     Woe is an old English word that means destruction. The Most High said, destruction will come to them that call evil good, and his laws
evil. The Most High called crabs, shrimp, and lobster, an abomination, America calls it a delicatessen. The Most High said eating Pork was an abomination, America says it's the other white meat. The Most High told Israel to separate from the heathens and keep his laws, America says the law is done away with and God loves everybody. Destruction will come to those that put ignorance in the place of knowledge, and knowledge in the place of ignorance. The Most Highs laws and commandments are light, and knowledge. Serving our King Jesus Christ is what we teach the Lords chosen people to do, and they call us ignorant. While they refuse to serve Christ and vote for Barack Obama, a man against the Most High and Christ, that has never done a damn thing for them. Destruction will also come to those that takes something sour or bad and says that it's sweet. Barack Obama isn't even a black man. He didn't grow up in the ghetto, barrio, or on the reservation. He doesn't know the struggles of coming from the bottom, being a second class citizen with no identity or heritage. Never once has he even tried to attach himself to the Black struggle in America. To praise him for being the first black president is taking something bitter, and calling it sweet.

     Destruction is coming to America and our so called leaders for the great evil that they have committed against the Most High and Christ. . If you voted for Obama, then it means you support him, and agree with what he stands for. The Most High called homosexuality a sin, America calls it an alternative lifestyle, and Barack Obama passed the gay marriage bill. The Most High said thou shalt not murder, Barack Obama supports Planned Parenthood and a woman's right to murder her child. Destruction is coming to Barack Obama, and Black, Hispanic, Haitian, West, Seminole, and Native Indian leaders that support him. Barack Obama took what the Most High called evil and called it good.

     97% of Blacks voted for Barack Obama, while 73% of Hispanics voted for him as well. What did Obama do in his first four years as President for Black, Hispanic and Native Indians? After only four years in office, Barack Obama deported more Hispanics than all presidents before him combined. Obama increased funding to programs such as Planned Parenthood which accounted for almost 2 million murders of Black babies during those four years. Wall Street received 750 billion dollars in bailouts while we struggled and remained above average of the unemployment statistics around the country. Not only was voting for Barack Obama a sin against the Most High, it was putting darkness for light.

     Our so called leaders are the ones who duped us into blindly putting our trust in Barack Obama. Al Sharpton, Louis Farrakhan, and Jay-z, just to name a few, lead the charge to make sure we voted for the first "Black" president. Not because of his policies, his track record, our even for what he promised to do for us; they supported and pushed us to vote for Obama because of the color of his skin. Black, Hispanic, Haitians, West, Seminole and Native Indians racism against white people is what got Barack Obama voted into office for his first and second term. Instead of putting a black man in the White House, we need a black man in every black house. For our people, nothing positive has or will come from Barack Obama being in office; voting for him because of his skin tone, and pretending like we'll somehow benefit, is our leaders putting bitter for sweet.

Psalm 106:41 - And he gave them into the hand of the heathen; and they that hated them ruled over them.
   
     The Most High gave us into the hands of the heathens ruling over us today. The so called white man has hated us since their father Esau fought with our father Jacob in their mothers belly. The people that have had us in slavery since the 1400's showed their hatred towards us then, and still shows that he hates us now.

     We have become like our oppressors in joining ourselves to the white man's society. The Most High never told its to be democrats, republicans, to vote, or go with the majority rule. This is how evil and wickedness is able to thrive and allowed to spread throughout a population. Sixty years ago, interracial marriage was frowned upon, women having children out of wedlock was a shame, and homosexuality was hidden and unheard of. Sixty years later, the wealthy amongst our people are marrying outside our race, taking that wealth and giving it another nation. Our daughters have become promiscuous and proud, lying down with any man, getting brothers put on child support and thrown in jail. Thanks to the Christian church, child molestation and homosexuality is running rampant in our community. Young Israelite boys and girls, claiming to be gay, lesbian, and transgender, are now accepted and praised, rather than chastised and corrected. By joining the white man's society, we gave up our morals, and traded in the protection of our children, and future generations for the dream of having a black president.

Jeremiah 50:7 - All that found them have devoured them: and their adversaries said, We offend not, because they have sinned against the Lord , the habitation of justice, even the Lord , the hope of their fathers.
   
     All these nations that have gotten rich, and benefited from the enslavement of the twelve tribes of Israel, have no remorse for how they have destroyed our people. America isn't the first time we've been in captivity under heathens, and our oppressors count themselves faultless because our sins, and turning our back on the Most High is what has us in their possession.

     The Chinese get rich off of chicken wings and fried rich, the Vietnamese from fake nails and eyelashes, the Korean from fake hair. While the Africans, Arabs, and East Indians get paid off of the gas, liquor, and convenience stores. All pay taxes to the white man while we suffer and starve in the ghetto. Jeremiah spoke about our people being destroyed and spoiled by these other nations. This scripture remains true to our people today, as we praise and thank the white man for giving us Barack Obama, and turn our backs on Jesus Christ, the king the Most High gave us. Instead of putting our trust in the Most High and Christ and keeping the commandments that we have been given, we put our trust in the system of the people who enslaved and murdered our forefathers.

Isaiah 30:12- Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon: [13] Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant.
   
     The Most High warned us that because we despise his word, trust in oppression, and perverseness; that our sins have piled up and if we don't change our ways the punishment from the Most High will come down on us in an instant.

     Israelites refuse to hear the truth of the Most Highs word and that's why we voted for Barack Obama, instead of serving our King Jesus Christ. As it stands today, we are at the bottom of the barrel in America, and the planet. We are the highest in unemployment, highest rates in STD, HIV, and Aids, highest in abortion, the highest in prison population, murders, and heart disease. If we don't change, and come back to the Most High and Christ, it's only going to get worse. America is on the brink of Civil war and more wars in the Middle East. Who do you think your black president is going to call on when more soldiers are needed to fight? You and your children. When civil unrest hits the streets and the military is called in to police the neighborhoods, who do you think is going to be the last fed, and the first detained? You and your children. When the dollar's worth dwindles to nothing, and mass layoffs begin, who is going to be first fired? You and your children. When forced labor aka slavery is re-instituted in order to sustain the infrastructure for the rich and keep the military operational, who is going to be the first ones forced to work? You and your children!

     Time is short, and the 2nd term of Barack Obama is going to be far worse than the first. Dangerous and trying times are coming to America, and nothing can save this place from the judgment of the Most High. While America can't be saved, the Most High has promised not to utterly destroy our people, but that's only if you're dedicated to keeping his laws, statutes, and commandments and serving our King Jesus Christ, Yahawashi Ha Mashayach in the Hebrew. All we have is one another, the time for trusting in our oppressor is at an end. Turkey strikes back at Syria after Erdogan warning

ISTANBUL (Reuters) - Turkey returned fire after Syrian mortar bombs landed in a field in southern Turkey on Saturday, the day after Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan warned Syria that Turkey would not shy away from war if provoked.

It was the fourth day of Turkish retaliation for firing by Syrian forces that killed five Turkish civilians on Wednesday.

The exchanges are the most serious cross-border violence in Syria's conflict, which began as a democracy uprising but has evolved into a civil war with sectarian overtones. They highlight how the crisis could destabilize the region.

NATO member Turkey was once an ally of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad but turned against him after his violent response to an uprising in which, according to the United Nations, more than 30,000 people have died.

Turkey has nearly 100,000 Syrian refugees in camps on its territory, has allowed rebel leaders sanctuary and has led calls for Assad to quit. Its armed forces are far larger than Syria's.

Erdogan said on Friday his country did not want war but warned Syria not to make a "fatal mistake" by testing its resolve. Damascus has said its fire hit Turkey accidentally.

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said on Saturday that parliament's authorization of possible cross-border military action was designed as a deterrent.

"From now on, if there is an attack on Turkey it will be silenced," he said in an interview with state broadcaster TRT.

Western powers have backed fellow NATO member Turkey over Syria but have shown little appetite for the kind of intervention that helped topple Libya's Muammar Gaddafi. Turkish calls for a safe zone in Syria would require a no-fly zone that NATO states are unwilling to police.

'VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE'

Davutoglu said international mediator on Syria Lakhdar Brahimi would come to Turkey before Russian President Vladimir Putin visits Ankara within the next 10 days.

Arab League chief Nabil Elaraby in a newspaper interview called Brahimi's Syria mission "virtually impossible." Asked about the efforts of the Egypt-Saudi-Turkey-Iran quartet to solve the crisis, Elaraby said: "The solution must comprise Iran. The important thing is that matters get moving."

The 18-month-old Syrian revolt increasingly pits a Sunni Muslim opposition against Assad's Alawite minority, an offshoot of the Shi'ite Islam that dominates in Iran, whose government backs Assad's government.

Rebels in the Syrian city of Aleppo said government troops tried to storm the Sakhour district on Saturday but were pushed back after heavy clashes. Activists across Syria said there was fighting in several cities and towns including the central city of Homs and in Damascus countryside.

The British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said at least 60 people, including 36 government soldiers, were killed in clashes across the country on Saturday.

Syrian rebel forces are riven by divisions but Syrian government forces appear to lack the numbers to land a knockout blow and permanently hold rebellious areas.

U.S. President Barack Obama on September 25 accused Iran of helping keep Assad in power but has refused to arm Syria's rebels, partly for fear some of those fighting Assad's rule are Islamist radicals equally hostile to the West.

U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta expressed renewed worry on Saturday that the hostilities in Syria could spread.

"Whether or not that conflict begins to extend into the neighboring countries such as Turkey remains to be seen. But obviously the fact that there are now exchanges fired between these two countries raises additional concerns that this conflict could broaden," Panetta told a news conference in Lima with Peru's defense minister.

Iran on Saturday called for the immediate release of Iranians held captive by Syrian rebels and said it would hold the rebels and their supporters responsible for their lives.

Syrian rebels seized a busload of 48 Iranians in early August on suspicion of being military personnel. Tehran says they were pilgrims visiting a Shi'ite shrine in Damascus.

MORTARS LAND IN TURKEY

At least three rounds fired from Syria landed inside Turkey's Yayladagi district on Saturday, the office of the governor of the Turkish province of Hatay said.

It said the fire appeared to have been aimed by Syrian forces at rebels along the border. There were no casualties. Turkish border troops fired back mortars in response.

There were two similar incidents in Hatay on Friday, when Erdogan issued his warning.

"Those who attempt to test Turkey's deterrence, its decisiveness, its capacity, I say here they are making a fatal mistake," he said in a bellicose speech to a crowd in Istanbul.

"We are not interested in war, but we're not far from war either. This nation has come to where it is today having gone through intercontinental wars," he said.

Turkish artillery bombarded Syrian military targets on Wednesday and Thursday, killing several Syrian soldiers after Syria's initial fatal bombardment. The U.N. Security Council condemned the original Syrian attack.

Russia, a staunch ally of Syria, said it received assurances from Damascus the strike on Turkey was an accident but Erdogan dismissed them, saying Syrian fire had repeatedly hit Turkey.

Wednesday's Syrian strike on the town of Akcakale was of a different magnitude to previous incidents, a Turkish official told Reuters.

"Wednesday was different. There were five or six rounds into the same place. That's why we responded a couple of times, to warn and deter. To tell the (Syrian) military to leave. We think they've got the message and have pulled back from the area."

Syria has since ordered its warplanes and helicopters not to go within 10 km (six miles) of the Turkish border and artillery units not to fire shells close to the border, according to Turkish broadcaster NTV. Syria has not confirmed this.

Turkey's state-run Anatolian news agency said a large number of Turkish troops had been sent to the Oncupinar border area of Kilis province.

Remains of Infant Who Died 2 Years Ago Found in Family's Back Yard

A child welfare check led authorities to discover the remains of an infant whose death two years ago went unreported by his family, New York State Police said today.

Acting on a search warrant, authorities worked overnight to dig up the back yard of the Farmingdale, N.Y. home where the boy's family resides.

"It is absolutely a suspicious death and it is being investigated as such," State Police Major Patrick Regan told The Associated Press. "We don't have a cause of death, and to our knowledge, there was never a report made of the child being missing."

The remains of an infant were unearthed and sent to the medical examiner's office to confirm the identity of the child and cause of death.

The corpse is believed to be of Justin Kowalczik. The 17-month-old died in the summer of 2010 and his death went unreported until an investigation was launched last week, police said.

On Wednesday, authorities from the Suffolk County Child Protective Services visited the home of Robert Rodriguez and Heather Kowalczik to conduct a welfare check on their 6-year-old child, police said.

During that time, authorities say they became aware that Justin, who is one of Kowalczik's three children, was not accounted for.

The New York State Police interviewed Heather Kowalczik, who told police Justin died shortly after the family moved from Orange County, N.Y.

During the interview, authorities said they were also able to pinpoint a location in the family's backyard where the boy had allegedly been buried.

Rodriguez, who is the father of the couple's two older children, was identified as a person of interest and sought by police.

Authorities became alarmed when the couple's 9-year-old son did not show up for school on Friday.

An Amber Alert was issued and the child was located, police said.

The couple's two children have been placed in protective custody, police said.

Neither Rodriguez nor Kowalczik have been charged.

Death toll from meningitis outbreak rises to seven

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Reuters) - The death toll from a widening outbreak of fungal meningitis linked to steroid injections has risen to seven, with 65 cases now reported in nine states, officials said on Saturday.

The latest two deaths were reported on Saturday in Michigan, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Those affected fell ill after receiving steroid injections linked to a pharmaceutical compounding plant in Massachusetts.

New cases in Ohio and Minnesota on Saturday brought to nine the number of states affected, officials said.

Other states with reported cases of people who fell ill after receiving the injections -primarily for back pain - are Michigan, Tennessee, Virginia, Florida, Maryland, North Carolina and Indiana.

Meningitis is an infection of the membranes covering the brain and spinal cord.

Vials of steroids linked to the outbreak were shipped to 76 facilities in 23 states and could have been used to inject thousands of patients, authorities have said.

As in other states where the outbreak has been detected, Minnesota authorities are trying to determine who else may have been infected at six locations known to have used the drugs in question, said Buddy Ferguson, public information officer for the state's Department of Health.

"We have identified a list of approximately 950 people who did receive injectable steroids from the implicated lots," he said, adding authorities were in the process of contacting each patient.

Tennessee, where the outbreak was first detected, accounts for most of the cases, with 29, state officials said on Friday.

Three of the deaths have been in Tennessee, and one each in Virginia and Maryland.

In Tennessee, many patients remain hospitalized, some listed in critical condition.

The infected patients have shown a variety of symptoms from one to four weeks after their injections, including fever, a new or worsening headache, nausea and neurological problems that would be consistent with deep brain stroke, the CDC said.

All the cases have been traced to three lots of the steroid prepared at New England Compounding Center Inc in Framingham, Massachusetts. The company said it had suspended its operations while the investigation proceeds.

The Massachusetts Health Department said there were 17,676 vials of medication in each of three lots of methylprednisolone acetate sent out from July through September and have a shelf life of 180 days.

So far, the tally of cases includes 29 in Tennessee, 11 in Virginia, eight in Michigan, five in Indiana, four in Florida, three in Maryland, two in North Carolina, two in Minnesota and one in Ohio.

The steroid was sent to California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Texas and West Virginia, the CDC said.

A list of facilities that received vials from the infected lots can be found online via the website cdc.gov.

US reignites anger in Puerto Rico with plan to fence off abandoned bombing range on Vieques

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — The U.S. government has a new fight in Vieques, the Puerto Rican island that was used as a Navy bombing range for decades.

An extensive cleanup of the eastern portion of Vieques is years from being finished, but is years from being finished, but the government says it is ready to declare work completed on a nearly 400-acre site on the western side that was used to store and detonate expired munitions.

The former storage site was turned over to the U.S. Interior Department and declared a nature reserve. Under a proposal favored by the Navy, the cleanup of the area would be deemed complete even though about 200 acres has not been cleared of munitions debris, some potentially still live. That has sparked outrage among activists and officials in Vieques and the main island of Puerto Rico who favor a complete removal of all debris. And it has brought back some of the angry rhetoric that helped force an end to Vieques’ use as a bombing range in 2003.

“It’s not a cleanup. It is an affront to Puerto Ricans that those responsible for the explosives would refuse to remove them,” Maria de Lourdes Santiago, a vice president of the Puerto Rico Independence Party and a candidate for the U.S. territory’s Senate, said Thursday. Navy officials say it would hurt the nature reserve by tearing up the dense vegetation to clear the remainder of the debris.

Opponents suspect the plan may have more to do with the cost of cleaning up all the debris, estimated at $50 million.

Jorge Fernandez Porto, director of the territorial Senate’s natural resources commission and a member of a citizen advisory board that monitors the Navy cleanup of Vieques, said he fears a partial removal of debris will set a precedent for other parts of the island.

“You found this clean, you can’t just give it back full of bombs,” Fernandez said. “I’m sorry if it’s costly. You should have thought about that before. Now you want to do the cheap version and leave the bombs there.”

A public comment period on the proposal ends Friday, at which point it will be under review by the Environmental Protection Agency. Before the area became a nature reserve, the military would dig open pits and burn expired 20-milimeter rounds, and occasionally unexploded rounds were scattered in the surrounding brush.

Under the plan favored by the Navy, the area that has not been cleared of munitions debris would be enclosed by a barbed-wire fence to prevent people from scavenging for potentially explosive scrap metal and souvenirs, said Kevin Cloe, a manager of the cleanup project.

Other parts of the reserve would be open to the public, but the entire area has long been designated as a natural reserve and the government never intended for the public to have full access, Cloe said.

Trying to clear the entire area would do extensive damage to site, he said.

“It’s a balancing act. There are no silver bullets. It would be great if we could turn over the island, shake out all the bad things … but this is a labor intensive, very destructive operation,” he said.

Vieques, which is ringed by clear blue waters and pristine beaches that have made it a popular tourist destination in recent years, was used as a bombing range from the 1940s until the government agreed to give it up in 2003 after years of angry protests.

The U.S. has removed more than 16.5 million pounds of munitions, but the cleanup of the old bombing range on the island’s eastern portion is expected to run through at least 2025. The full cleanup of Vieques, one of the most extensive rehabilitation efforts ever undertaken by the Navy, is budgeted at around $350 million.
