Burnt Rice

Shalam, We are the original Israelite School of Universal Practical Knowledge, out of 1 West 125th St. Harlem, NYC, since 1969. The HOME OF THE TRUTH! In the Spirit of the Most High, in the name of Christ under Commanding General Yahanna, we have dedicated and hazarded our lives to bringing the 12 Tribes of the nation of Israel back to the Father in spirit and truth.  The people of Negro, and Indian descent, scattered throughout North, South, Central America and the West Indian Islands are the Lost 12 Tribes of Israel. Wherever we are; in the ghettos, the barrios, the reservations or shanty towns; on the web, and in our everyday lives we strive to wake up our people.

They say a picture is worth a thousands words, well then how much is a video worth? In the case of former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice, the answer is $10 million. On the morning of September 8th, 2014 TMZ released security footage of Ray Rice punching and knocking out his then fiancé, now wife in the elevator of an Atlantic City Casino. Until the recent release of the elevator video, the public had only seen the aftermath of what happened on that elevator, which was Rice dragging his woman's limp body off of the elevator. What was already a public relations nightmare for Rice and the NFL has only become worse now that the video has been released.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell came under heavy criticism for his relatively lenient two-game suspension of Rice in July. Goodell publicly regretted his handling of the Rice’s initial suspension, saying he “didn’t get it right.” Pressure from Women's rights, and domestic violence groups over Rice's initial suspension,forced commissioner Roger Goodell to announce tougher penalties for domestic violence cases. In such cases, a player "will be subject to a suspension without pay of six games for a first offense." A second offense will receive a minimum one-year suspension.

In early March 2014, Rice was charged with felony aggravated assault, but avoided jail time by enrolling in a pretrial intervention program. Rice and Palmer married on March 29, but after the release of the video he's been suspended indefinitely, and has had his contracts with the Baltimore Ravens and Nike terminated.

Ecclesiastes 7:9 - Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.

The wisdom of the ancient men of Israel found in the Bible is timeless and very much practical for everyday living in today's society. You cannot be quick to allow yourself to get angry, because anger thrives in the chest of fools.

Ray Rice is a fool for allowing his anger to get the best of him. His lack of discipline, and inability to maintain his anger towards his woman has done irrevocable damage to his character and image. 30 seconds of anger has cost him and his family public humiliation, shame, at least $10 million, and a career in the NFL. All of which could've been avoided if Rice wasn't hasty in his spirit to be angry.

Now that we've established that Ray Rice was wrong on every level, and foolish as hell for hitting his woman, let's deal with a portion of this story that no one wants to address; his woman's role in this situation. While there is nothing that she could've said to warrant getting hands laid on her, Janay Rice should've watched her damn mouth, and kept her hands to herself.

James 3:5 - Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! [6] And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. [7] For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: [8] But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

The tongue is a very powerful weapon, even though it is the smallest of all a persons body parts. Just look at all the trouble that can be caused by what someone says out of their mouth. What you say out of your mouth can cause your entire body pain, and bring destruction to your life. Although mankind has tamed all manner of wildlife on the earth, the tongue is the one thing that no man can tame, it is an unruly evil, full of deadly venom.

If anyone watches the full video released from TMZ closely, it begins in the hallway of the hotel and not inside the elevator. At the beginning we can see Ray and Janaye having a verbal exchange which results in her back handing him then walking away. As she storms towards the elevator it is evident that Janaye is saying something as a bystander to the right of the screen, talking on the phone turns towards Mrs. Rice as she walks into the elevator. When Ray Rice enters the elevator, before the first punch is thrown, you can see Janaye Rice yelling at him.

Unfortunately in this society that we live in, women are treated like uncontrollable children, while also given authority and power over men. Why is it that men are taught "never to hit a woman under any circumstances, no matter what she does?" Why not teach women to keep their hands to themselves and watch what they say out of their mouths? This society treats women like they are unconscionable creatures that are incapable of self control. That's why men, being more sensible and capable of self control must refrain from hitting them NO MATTER THE CIRCUMSTANCES.

Ephesians 5:23 - For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. [24] Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. [25] Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

In a relationship a man has authority over his wife the same way Christ has authority over Israel. This is why all Israel must follow Christ, and wives should be that way to their husbands in everything. A man should love his wife the same way Christ loved our nation and gave his life for it.

Christ showed us the way a man should deal with his wife. Christ loved Israel by correcting us, and teaching our people the way that we are supposed to live and serve the Most High. It is every man's responsibility to provide this for his woman, if her father didn't properly raise her up. It is every woman's responsibility to respect and honor her man, the way this nation should honor Christ.

Now Ray Rice and his wife obviously aren't in the truth, and obviously aren't living according to the Scriptures. If Ray was a man who followed Christ, he would've known how to properly correct his wife without putting his hands on her. If Janaye Rice was an honorable woman she wouldn't have backhanded her husband and shamed him publicly leading to her being knocked out.
