Just In Time For Father's Day, Prince George's County Serves 'Dead-Beat' Dads

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (WUSA) -- Prince George's County sent a message to
fathers in the region just in time for Father's Day: pay up, or go to
jail.

The sheriff's child support sweep included 88 warrants for men who
owed court ordered child support of a combined $933,701.24, officials
said in a news release.

Thirty of those warrants actually turned into arrests, police said.

The total owed by the men arrested is $276,572.46, police said.

"The warrants we serve related to child support are court orders just
like all of the other types of warrants we serve. And, this is an
especially important area of service and responsibility for the
Sheriff because when we help to facilitate the collection of child
support, we are serving children and families," Prince George's County
Lieutenant Colonel Kenneth Payne said

Isaiah 42:22-  But this [is] a people robbed and spoiled; [they are]
all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they
are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith,
Restore.

Isaiah 13:12-  I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a
man than the golden wedge of Ophir.

Ephesians 5:22-  Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as
unto the Lord.
