Man gets 30 years for abandoning girl, killing mom

A New Jersey man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for strangling his girlfriend, then abandoning their young daughter at a gas station in Delaware.

Twenty-seven-year-old Dwayne Jackson of Edison appeared remorseful Thursday at his sentencing hearing in New Brunswick. He said he prays he'll someday be forgiven for the crimes.
Jackson pleaded guilty in April to murder and child endangerment charges.
He admitted he killed 25-year-old Patricia Belizaire in her North Brunswick apartment in February 2010. He drove their 20-month-old daughter, Hanna, to Newark, Del., where he left her in the restroom of a Shell gas station. The crying child was found unharmed.
Jackson then drove Belizaire's body to a park in Ramapo, N.Y., and set it on fire. He was arrested several days later

Deut 28:54-  [So that] the man [that is] tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave:
