Joshua Davis, 32, was getting high on marijuana when he shot and killed two college students, and wounded a third, while his 7-year-old daughter hid beneath a table, authorities say.

Christian Rodriguez and Joe Palacios, a pair of 19-year-old students at Polk State College, were killed while getting high with Joshua Davis in his Winter Haven, Fla., home, polices say.

A paranoid pot-smoker gunned down two Florida college students and wounded a third as his 7-year-old daughter cowered beneath a table during the carnage, police said.

Joshua Davis, 32, was getting high with two of the victims at his Winter Haven, Fla., apartment before he inexplicably snapped and started shooting, said town Police Chief Gary Hester.

“The only thing that I can tell you as a possible motive, and this came straight from the killer’s mouth, is that he had a dark feeling,” Hester said Wednesday.

“And this dark feeling led him to retrieve his weapon and come back and shoot.”

A sobbing Davis, as he was led to a waiting patrol car in handcuffs, told reporters, “I was scared for my family.”

But it was his terrified daughter who wound up running for her life when Davis grabbed his 9mm handgun and blasted Christian Rodriguez and Joe Palacios, a pair of 19-year-old students at Polk State College.

Both men were killed, while a third student — Esteban Zavala — survived despite several gunshot wounds, police said.

The injured student fled the blood-spattered apartment when Davis ran out of bullets, and was later found staggering along a road near the apartment complex, authorities said.

Zavala, 20, was listed in stable condition at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

Hester, after describing the suspect as “a cold-blooded killer,” said Davis had confessed to the crimes.
