Lesbian Mayor’s Push For Self-Identity Will Allow Men In Women’s Shower Rooms

Lesbian Mayor Annise Parker in Houston, TX, is currently pushing an LGBT agenda where men and women can use the opposite gender’s restrooms and shower rooms, if they feel that they belong to that particular gender.
The city council is now deliberating over an ordinance that would allow males who believe they are more female and vice-versa to use whichever facilities they desire in an attempt to stop complaints about gender identity discrimination.
The proposed ordinance reads in part: “It shall be unlawful for any place of public accommodation or any employee or agent thereof to intentionally deny any person entry to any restroom, shower room, or similar facility if that facility is consistent with and appropriate to that person’s expression of gender identity.”
However, in an attempt to stop perverts from using whichever restroom or shower they want, the person going into the opposite gender’s facility has to be wearing appropriate clothing as a person of that gender would wear. In other words, a man must use female attire while using the women’s restroom and women must dress like a man would do, if they wish to use the men’s restroom. What’s unclear, though, is how this ordinance will affect those who often switch their identities.
During a public debate last week, which lasted almost four hours, heated arguments were heard from those supporting the proposed ordinance and those sternly against it.
Parker is confident that the council will see her side of the argument and the proposed ordinance will be swiftly put into practice. However, she may be underestimating the power of the faithful Christians of Texas who are sure to put up a fight against this potentially dangerous statute that is against the Christian faith.
According to the president of Texas Values, an organization fighting for the return of decent and honest values in the state, Parker has no right to try and force her perverted beliefs on the citizens of Houston. Jonathan Saenz added the city council should make it clear that they will not stand for this kind of behavior from their elected officials.
Ed Young, Senior pastor of the Second Baptist Church in Houston, TX also feels that Parker is abusing her position to enforce her own un-Biblical beliefs. He adds that the LGBT community wants the people of Texas to respect their behavior, but they don’t believe in respecting the decent honest and values of others.
