MALE CAMPUS COP SLAMS FEMALE PROFESSOR ON THE GROUND

Shocking dash-cam footage shows the moment a female Arizona State University professor was slammed to the ground by campus police — for jaywalking.
Ersula Ore was detained in May after cops spotted her wandering down the middle of a Tempe street to avoid construction works. She tried to explain the reason why she was in the center of the road. But, before she could finish, she was asked for her ID.
The video shows the English professor protesting about the “disrespectful” way she was being spoken to — and refusing to show her card.
“Let me see your ID or you will be arrested for failing to provide ID,” the officer, identified as Stewart Ferrin, is heard saying in the clip.
Replying that she had “no problem abiding by the law,” she then says: “But all I’m asking, do you have to speak to me in such a disrespectful manner?”
With the officer explaining that he has a right to ask for her ID, he then tries to cuff Ore — but she starts to struggle. A scuffle follows, and Ore is thrown to the ground. After being hauled up, she then kicks one of the cops in the shin.
Ore was arrested and faces charges of assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, refusing to provide identification when requested to do so by an officer and obstructing a highway or public thoroughfare.
Ore’s attorney, Alane Roby, said her client is claiming self-defense.
“She was exposed and told the officer she was exposed. Her dress was up; the officer was reaching toward her anatomy. She felt uncomfortable with hands going there,” Roby said.
ASU has since released a statement saying an internal investigation determined the officers did nothing wrong.
“ASU authorities have reviewed the circumstances surrounding the arrest and have found no evidence of inappropriate actions by the ASUPD officers involved,” it said.
“Because the underlying criminal charges are pending, there is not much more we can say at this time,” it added.
