Students Can Display The Confederate Flag In A Tennessee School District

Although she contacted the school district about students at her son’s high school openly displaying the Confederate flag, a Tennessee mother was told they could do nothing about the situation.

The mother of a 14-year-old boy, who wishes to remain anonymous, told WKRN-TV that she was concerned for the safety of her son at Stewarts Creek High School, Smyma, after he told her that children were openly wearing battle flag T-shirts to class. She added that she had observed for herself, several Confederate flags being displayed in the back of their trucks.
